What was the common to high class jobs?

The least important in society was the peasants; they made up 90% of the population. Peasants had to grow food and raise live stock. Children helped and did chores. Some lived in town or small cottages. Knights are the next level up in society; they use weapons and ride horses. They lived in the cold, drafty castles. The castles were built for defense and not comfort. We don't have castles now because we have houses and we have a united country, we have no violence. The United Sates doesn't need castles because we are a free country and don't need to defend our country.

The next level of society is nobles. They were richer and lived in the castles. In the picture, the tenants-in-chief is just like Nobles. They help rule and work in the  castles. The top is the king, and the government, they make decisions and rule over their people. The king with nobles gives protection. Boy! We are lucky we don't have a class system, things just wouldn't be the same!
